A little corner to share thoughts on check engine light

This will cause the system to send a warning signal to the power train control module or PCM, and this is manifested as an amber check engine light. Most of these warnings occur as a result of a malfunction in an emissions component, and you may not even be aware that there is anything wrong with your car. Of course an amber check engine light is still a serious issue to deal with, and it will still require immediate attention. Neglect having the necessary repairs performed long enough, and you could have a more hazardous or expensive situation on your hands. A more serious problem is when you see a red check engine light.
